The year is 2394, the Federation is ever expanding, reaching further into the Delta Quadrant every day while still exploring the unknown of its own quadrants. However, this is leaving the interior of their own space thin. The areas that once were packed with shipping lanes are now longer, sparser, and even more vital to the logistical workhorse that keeps Starfleet’s mission of exploration continuing.

To combat the rise in piracy, lost and missing vessels, to answer the emergency calls in their own backyard, the Vigilant has been commissioned to patrol Federation space. With an array of tools, sensors, and weapons, and a crew ready to meet any emergency, the Vigilant will watch over the interior of Federation space to protect those just trying to make a life.

Great news! The U.S.S. Vigilant has been officially approved by Pegasus Fleet Admiralty and assigned to Task Force 56. With this the ship is now officially active and recruiting!
